RCA 1X591
(Bakelite tube table radio)

RCA 1X591

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

This radio is a very scarce model made in 1951/1952 that isn't seen very often. It is a standard All American Fiver AM receiver using tubes 35Z5, 50L6, 12SQ7, 12SA7 and 12SK7. I have done my usual complete electronic restoration replacing all the capacitors and any resistors that were out of tolerance as well as testing all the tubes and replacing any weak ones. This beautiful radio was in great condition when I got it and was cleaned and waxed and still retains its original grille cloth, knobs, press-board back and bottom label, it is probably one of the last Bakelite radios and has no cracks, chips or breaks. This radio plays loud and clear and has a very distinctive mid-century modern look. For your listening pleasure this radio has a built in standard RCA phono jack so you can plug in your iPod, MP3 or CD player, just flip the switch on the back and enjoy "your" music. A converter plug can be bought at any Radio Shack. I have priced it for a fast sale. About 12-1/2"W x 9-1/2"H x 8-1/2"D.
