General Electric GD-41 (1938)
(wood tube table radio)

General Electric GD-41 (1938)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

This is a classic design from GE made in 1938. This is the second GD-41 that I have restored for the Attic. The other one sold here on the Attic a few years ago. This one has had the full restoration and plays like it did in 1938. This is a four-tube TRF circuit that uses a ballast tube that allowed GE to call a five-tube radio and receives AM only stations all across the dial it is very selective and sensitive. It has a smaller cabinet that measures 10"W x 8"H x 6"D. The cabinet has 25+ coats of hand rubbed lacquer and looks great. The horizontal inlay is from hard to find Zebra wood and looks fantastic. I also made a new clear dial cover for this beautiful radio. Please check out all the photos and if you want to see more pictures just email me and don't forget that it comes with an unconditional 30 day warranty. I can add an iPod connector for an additional $40. Although this one is as nice as the other one, considering the economy I have priced it a little less then two years ago.
