Spark Era Tuner
(wood tube casket radio)

Spark Era Tuner

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

Here is a rare tuner from the spark era! It has three huge Paragon knobs and a deForest type coupler. The finish is original and the cabinet is in nice condition though the wood shows signs of shrinkage. The controls all seem to work and one of the knobs on the coupler seems a bit loose. This is an impressive piece that displays very well! The original internals are in there, which basically consist of wires and tuning capacitors. You just don't see early tuners like this! It is from an era when tuning in radio transmissions was an art that took a lot of skill and knowledge. I wish I could have been there!
