Mike Radio (1960s)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

Used by stations in the 1960's as promotional items, these radios were tuned to the frequency of the station whose call letters were on the outside. This has a five-tube chassis. It has been serviced and the case polished. If you are lucky enough to have a station in your area that broadcasts on 960 AM, it will play. Otherwise, you will have to do as I do and use an AM transmitter to transmit the frequency. My Internet research shows this station went on the air in the 1950's in Washington State and it is still on the air. 13-1/2"H x 8-1/2" diameter at the base.
