Westinghouse 576 (Canada - 1946)
(Bakelite tube table radio)

Westinghouse 576 (Canada - 1946)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

This cute little table radio from Canadian Westinghouse can almost classify as a "midget" because of its compact size. The painted Bakelite cabinet is in excellent condition, with no cracks, chips, or scratches. The red knobs and dial (original color) really stand out. The transparent dial is edge illuminated by a dial lamp at the top of the dial, which gives a very nice effect in low lighting conditions. The five tube chassis has been fully restored with new capacitors, strong tubes, tuner and volume control contacts cleaned, and a full alignment. It works perfectly, with good sensitivity to pull in distant stations and good sound quality. Although it is somewhat unusual for a postwar radio, this one does not have a built-in loop antenna; however just a few feet of wire connected to the rear antenna clip will bring in lots of stations. Due to its small size and modest weight, shipping cost for this radio will be minimal. 8-3/4"W x 5-3/8"H x 4-5/8"D.
