Setchell-Carlson P61 Television (1955)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

This 17" Setchell Carlson TV epitomizes mid-1950s table-top television design with its gold/apricot vinyl-covered metal cabinet and classic TV screen shape. The cabinet is clean and virtually free of damage (just one small nick in the vinyl on the right side, as you can see in the photos). This set also works as good as new, and is the perfect set for an authentic viewing experience for old TV shows and movies. It works well with a VCR, DVD with modulator, or DTV converter (I'll be happy to advise you on suitable signal sources for antique TVs). Antique TV restoration is significantly more involved than radio repair, and I have many years of experience in doing it right. Electrolytic and paper capacitors have been replaced, strong tubes installed, the flyback transformer has been repaired, and the set has been carefully adjusted and aligned. The picture tube is strong and produces a bright, sharp picture. At 36 pounds, it is light and sturdy enough to be shipped by mail with good packing. 16-1/2"W x 14"H x 17-1/2"D.
