Emerson BF207 (1938)
(Bakelite tube table radio w/SW)

Emerson BF207 (1938)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

This early Bakelite table radio has an unusually detailed and stately design. The cabinet is actually three separately molded parts: the front, the back, and a center section. Cabinet condition is excellent, with no major chips or scratches. The back was modified at some point, and was done skillfully enough that most people will not notice the difference. This five-tube radio covers the AM and short wave bands, and has a lighted dial. The front controls are on/off volume, tone, and tuning; the rear knob is the bandswitch. The chassis has been fully restored, with a strong set of tubes, all electrolytic and paper capacitors replaced, new resistors where needed, a full RF and IF alignment, and a new polarized power cord with appropriate power switch rewiring for improved safety. Sensitivity and sound quality are as good as new. Knobs are original; the dial window has been replaced for a nice clear view of the beautiful dial. 13"W x 8-1/4"H x 7-3/4"D.
