THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD! |
Aqua blue was a very trendy color when this Philco AM/FM table radio appeared on the scene in 1960. The plastic cabinet on this radio still has a bright hue and a terrific shine, but a hairline crack on the right side (visible in photo) means you can have this radio at a lower price than what a perfect one would go for. This radio was used lightly over the years; it still has all of its original Philco tubes, and they all test very strong. The chassis has been fully restored, with all paper and electrolytic capacitors replaced, new resistors where needed, all socket, switch, and control contacts cleaned, and a complete RF and IF alignment. It plays like new on both AM and FM, with good sensitivity and sound quality. Although it has terminals for an external FM antenna, it in fact works very well with its built-in power cord-coupled FM antenna. 12"W x 6-3/4"H x 6"D. |
