Emerson 659B AM/FM (1951)
(Bakelite tube table radio w/FM)

Emerson 659B AM/FM (1951)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

This Emerson Bakelite AM/FM table radio performs like new. The secret to getting top-notch FM performance out of these early FM sets is precise alignment, and I specialize in sweep-generator FM alignments with oscilloscope. The cabinet is in nice condition, with no chips or cracks; a slight "halo" effect is visible in the Bakelite around the pilot light jewel. The eight-tube chassis has been thoroughly serviced, with all paper and electrolytic capacitors replaced, new resistors where needed, a strong set of tubes, and a new polarized power cord with circuit modifications to take advantage of the polarized plug for improved safety. This radio has a tone control and a 5-inch speaker for good sound quality. 11-1/4"W x 7-3/4"H x 7"D.
