Climax G (1936)
(wood tube table radio w/SW)

Climax G (1936)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

This is an amazingly beautiful Climax with a wonderful eglomise airplane dial and lots of Art Deco style. A Chicago based company, Climax Radio and Television is probably better known today for their Ruby and Teardrop models, which are notably rare and quite pricey. Those models are slightly more common than this Climax model G, as you just never see a G model up for sale. The dial indicator is behind the eglomise (rear painted) dial face and it is illuminated from behind the disc, showing the indicator's light blue colored line as you tune across the dial. This Climax has both AM broadcast and Shortwave, receiving stations very nicely indeed. This model G certainly ranks well on the rarity list of radios and would make a very special addition to your collection. The cabinet has been carefully refinished using the finest lacquers to accent this radio's beauty. The finish is very smooth and luxurious. The electronics have been very carefully restored, yielding you years of enjoyable listening and pleasurable ownership. 15"W x 8"H x 5-1/2"D.
