THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD! |
Very nicely preserved "Aria" by Detrola. This was one of the first radios Detroit based Detrola made after the end of WWII, when consumer radio production resumed after producing radios exclusively for the military war effort. The green leatherette case is in very nice condition and the chrome front is quite stunning. Please pardon all the reflections off of the shiny polished chrome, as it is difficult to photograph properly. The radio picks up both the AM broadcast and shortwave bands quite nicely and the sound is just wonderful. I have added a mini-jack so that you can input MP3 music of your choice from your device. Normally this would be at an additional cost, but since this radio sounds so nice, I felt that such an addition would add to its listening enjoyment. The electronics have been completely and thoroughly restored. 12"W x 8"H x 7"D. |
