Belmont 6-D-111 (1946)
(plastic tube table radio)

Belmont 6-D-111 (1946)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

Many collectors refer to this Belmont as the "Rabbit" because the cabinet styling on the top looks like rabbit ears laying back. This radio has its original finish, which is somewhat uncommon and explains the "flea bites" in the paint. It has obviously been well enjoyed for obvious reasons. I chose to keep with originality versus repainting it, as I think the patina adds character. It also has its original knobs, manufacturer's label on the bottom and its aerial back. The electronics have been completely restored and it receives the AM broadcast very well and sounds just amazing. It has six push buttons, which have the original station ID markers and may be preset to various favorite stations if you wish. I have added a mini-jack so that you can input MP3 music of your choice from your own device. Normally this would be at an additional cost of $75, but since this radio sounds so nice, I felt that such an addition would add to its listening enjoyment. 12"W x 7-1/4"H x 6"D.
