Airline 93WG-602B (1939)
(Bakelite tube table radio)

Airline 93WG-602B (1939)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

Here's a beautiful brown Bakelite radio with a shiny bright green magic eye tube. Montgomery Ward sold these radios under their own brand name of Airline, though Wells-Gardner, a very high caliber manufacturer, produced them. With six preset station push buttons, controls recessed into the cabinet, back lit stationized cylindrical dial and large waterfall grille bars; it was a very big hit with the public! The electronics have been completely restored and it has a new, sensitive bright green magic eye tube (no shortcut repairs and it is internally fused for your safety). The reception is excellent, plus it has its original back, which contains an internal antenna. I have also added a mini-jack so you can play media from your MP3 player, or another audio input source, you'll have the potential for hours upon hours of unlimited listening enjoyment. The cabinet has been buffed and is quite shiny, accenting some brown and black swirling. If you're like most, eye tube sets can be mesmerizing to view in a darkened room and the wonderful, warm sounds from this Airline are likely to lull you to sleep. 11"W x 8-1/2"H x 6-1/2"D.
