Zenith 705 (1933)
(wood tube table radio)

Zenith 705 (1933)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

Probably the nicest mantel radio Zenith ever produced and considering this was a Depression Era set, the workmanship and design are just amazing. The Burl Walnut cabinet has nicely fluted sides and the inlay woods are gorgeous. I have added an MP3 jack that allows you an unlimited content from your own device; you should never be at a loss for media to listen to. The typically warm sound Zenith was famous for won't disappoint you with this one! Reception on the AM broadcast band is quite pleasing to the ear, especially nice for such an early radio. The electronics have been completely restored (no shortcut repairs and it is internally fused for safety). A period correct cloth power cord has been added. The finish appears to be original; however, if it was ever refinished, it had to have been quite a long time ago. It polished out very nicely indeed. The original back is in place and has what seems to be an original Zenith label, quite uncommon for its age. Someone really loved this old Zenith, as it appears it was very well taken care of. I hope it goes to someone that will care for it like the original owner did. 15"W x 8"H x 7"D.
