THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD! |
An unusually scarce, hard to find model produced for Walgreen's Drug Stores between 1935 and 1936. Being an inexpensive four-tube TRF set, they were a fast moving item for the company and typically used in larger cities. The dial's colors are just amazingly crisp and beautiful in a dimly lit room. The electronics have been completely restored (no shortcut repairs and it is internally fused for your safety) and it plays nicely, receiving very well for a TRF radio on the AM & SW broadcast band with a nice, warm sound. The cabinet has been lovingly restored using the finest lacquers, toning lacquers and wood grain filler, closely replicating the original factory finish as possible. 11"W x 8"H x 6"D. |
