Motorola 6T (1937)
(wood tube table radio w/SW)

Motorola 6T (1937)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

There are very, very few radios that are harder to come by than this 6T. It's amazingly beautiful and has features that appear to be ahead of its time. When changing from one band to another, the actual dial mechanically changes to another separate corresponding dial. When introduced, this was a $50 radio and pretty pricey for a table set! This is an Art Deco influenced set where quality came first, what Motorola practiced for decades. It's heavy and well built. Look at the wood inlay knobs, intricate band switch. Every time I look at this radio, I'm blown away! The electronics have been completely restored (no shortcut repairs and it is internally fused for safety). The cabinet's finish was restored using the finest clear and toning lacquers available. Reception on both AM and Shortwave exceeds most radios I've ever heard and the sound is quite robust with its large speaker. 21-1/4"W x 12"H x 10"D.
