Zenith 6-D-2620 "Boomerang" (1941)
(wood tube table radio w/SW)

Zenith 6-D-2620 "Boomerang" (1941)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

The "boomerang" style dial was one of Zenith's last production runs before they switched over to WW II production for the war effort. Similar to the 6-D-2614, but this set has the addition of Shortwave, with a rear lever switch to change the band. Its humpback style case was designed by Robert Budlong, one of Zenith's most proficient and gifted designers in their history. The smooth finish, which appears to be original, was gently cleaned and carefully waxed. The electronics have been completely restored (no shortcut repairs and it is internally fused for safety). This radio has a reproduction back cover from Retro-Tronics. Reception on the AM and Shortwave broadcast band is excellent, which is what you'd expect from a Zenith. I've added an MP3 input for your listening enjoyment should you wish listen to your own supplied music, such as Fats Waller or Jack Teagarden. Enjoy! 14"W x 9"H x 7"D.
