Detrola 568 "Aria" (1946)
(metal tube table radio w/SW)

Detrola 568 "Aria" (1946)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

Very nicely preserved "Aria" by Detrola. This was one of the first radios the Detroit based Detrola made after the end of WWII, when consumer radio production resumed after producing radios exclusively for the military war effort. It has a green leatherette case and a chrome front is quite stunning. Please pardon all the reflections off of the shiny polished chrome, as it is difficult to photograph properly. It's quite unusual that this radio has somehow retained its original back and has the original antenna "hank" antenna wire keeper. The electronics have been completely restored (no shortcut repairs and it is internally fused for your safety), and it plays very nicely on the AM Broadcast and shortwave bands. I've added an MP3 input for your listening enjoyment should you wish to listen to your own supplied music, such as The Ink Spots or Ray Noble. Normally this would be at an additional cost, but since this radio sounds so nice, I felt that such an addition would add to its listening enjoyment for you. 12"W x 8"H x 7"D.
