THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD! |
Striking example of American patriotism by Emerson in an Ingraham cabinet. Maple wood, oak color and wonderful red, white and blue accent stripes. Excluding the stars, this Emerson just about looks like an American flag! These are uncommon and increasingly difficult to find. Introduced in the fall of 1940 in Emerson's 1941 lineup. This is actually a pre-War set, as the US didn't enter WWII until the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor December 7, 1941. The cabinet was previously refinished by someone else in the past and has a nice presentable finish. The electronics have been completely restored (no shortcut repairs and it is internally fused for your safety), and it plays nice and loud on the AM broadcast band. I've added an MP3 input for your listening enjoyment should you wish listen to your own supplied music, such as Bing Crosby or Ozzie Waters. 10-1/4"W x 6-1/2"H x 5-3/4"D. |
