RCA 87T1 (1937)
(wood tube table radio)

RCA 87T1 (1937)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

Stunning seven-tube pre-WWII RCA with a bright green Magic Tuning Eye that is stand out gorgeous with its curved grille, inlay accents and massive illuminated dial. The cabinet has been refinished using the very finest toning and finishing lacquers, producing a gorgeous luster, paying respect to the original detailed finish. Original knobs and grille cloth, it is just beautiful! The electronics have been completely restored (no shortcut repairs, internally fused for your safety and has a new polarized power cord), and it plays very nicely on the AM broadcast band. Many radios owned by citizens not born within the USA, those from other countries that we were fighting during WWII, that had shortwave bands, our government mandated that shortwave be permanently disabled, such as this 87T. Since the majority of shortwave stations have left the airwaves and now are on the internet, this isn't an issue. I have added an MP3 input should you wish to listen to your own music. 18"W x 11"H x 8-1/2"D.
