Communications receivers were "hot" commodities during the "Cold War" during the 1960's. Many of my friends' parents listened to them in conjunction with Walter Cronkite on CBS News in the evenings. Covering from the broadcast AM band up to 30 MHz, there wasn't much you couldn't listen to. Beautiful shiny cabinet. Very nice playing, selective communications receiver in outstanding condition. All the capacitors have been replaced with modern types, out of tolerance resistors replaced, tubes checked and replaced where needed, antenna lead installed, and a new fused polarized power cord installed, and aligned for greater accuracy and selectivity. An excellent addition to your collection whether you're into the 1930's, mid-century or sixties radios. 13"W x 7-1/2"H x 9-1/2"D. |
