Zenith 5-S-327 "Racetrack" (1939)
(wood tube tombstone radio w/SW)

Zenith 5-S-327 "Racetrack" (1939)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

Zenith's “Racetrack” dial design of the late 1930's has been consistently favored among collectors, and most especially difficult to obtain in a tombstone. Of all the radios I have had in my personal collection, this offering combination are among my very top favorites. The cabinet has been correctly refinished in two contrasting accent tones as manufactured. The set retains its original "Z" knobs, original push buttons, original grille cloth and bottom factory ID card. All the capacitors have been replaced with modern types, out of tolerance resistors replaced, its tubes checked and replaced where needed, antenna lead installed, and a new fused polarized power cord installed, and it plays very nicely on both the AM and Shortwave band. An auxiliary audio input cable has been added for your convenience. Ready now to be the main focal point of Your collection. 16"H x 11-1/2"W x 7-1/2"D.
