Airline 62-125 Console (1935)
(wood tube console radio)

Airline 62-125 Console (1935)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

This beautiful radio was made for Wards Airline by Wells-Gardner & Company of Chicago. Wards used Belmont and Wells-Gardner to produce their pre-War radios under contract to become one of the most prolific mail order catalogue sellers of the time. This powerful ten-tube, two-band console (SB and police) is quite rare; this is the first one I have seen. Blake did a terrific job of restoring the electronics to perform like new. The capacitors were replaced and the resistors and tubes were tested and replaced as needed. The radio was aligned and performs quite well across the dial. The Art Deco cabinet is made of English Walnut, Maple, Ebony and painted Maple. A fantastic refinish by Gary Marvin using grain filler, toner and lacquer to give it a professional long lasting finish. An input has been added so you may add music from your own device. Add $150 for professional packing and shipping to your nearest Greyhound Depot. 40"H x 24" W x 13"D.
