Atwater Kent 735 Cathedral (1934)
(wood tube cathedral radio)

Atwater Kent 735 Cathedral (1934)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

In the 1920's and 1930's, Atwater Kent radios were known for their beautiful cabinets and performance, and this desirable "Gothic cathedral" is no exception. As we have noted before on one of our Atwater Kent radios, they were known as the "Cadillac of Radios." This five-tube, three-band (SB, SWx2) has its original 8-inch speaker and Bakelite knobs with a new dial lens and grille cloth. Blake has masterfully rebuilt the chassis by replacing the all capacitors and replaced the tubes and resistors as needed. A proper alignment ensures peak performance and years of listening pleasure. (A picture of his work is shown) A fuse and MP3 cable have been added for your own choice of music. Gary has professionally refinished the cabinet in semi-gloss with toners and lacquer for a new "factory finish." This is an opportunity to own one of the best radio collecting has to offer. 19-1/2"H x 14"W x 10"D.
