Zenith 707 (1933)
(wood tube table radio)

Zenith 707 (1933)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

Here we have a seldom seen Zenith model 707. There has never been one offered for sale on the Radio Attic, and there is very little information available on it. It's the big brother to the model 705, which is a fairly common radio. The 707 sports an ornate grille with a maple motif across the top and bottom of the front. The sides feature two sculptured bookends. The gorgeous burled walnut veneer makes this radio a standout! We went through this six-tube, AM only chassis, replacing all of the capacitors, checked resistors and tubes and replaced where necessary. The radio was aligned and plays well across the dial. Gary refinished it with his usual masterful touch, creating that "piano" finish that everyone looks for. The radio has retained its original knobs, and the grille cloth was replaced with a reproduction design from the period. This is a rare one folks, and would grace anyone's collection. 15"W x 8-1/2"H x 7"D.
