Zenith 7-S-232 "Walton" (1938)
(wood tube tombstone radio w/SW)

Zenith 7-S-232 "Walton" (1938)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

This was my first Walton that I found in Portland, Oregon on Craigslist. I acquired it from the granddaughter of the original owner, and she had inherited it from her mother. I had it in my collection for a while then sold it to one of our customers, only to buy it back from him later. I kid you not...this is one of the finest Waltons I have ever seen. Numbers matching, it's a real one! The 7-S-232 is a seven-tube, three-band (SB,SWx2) radio. Blake replaced all of the capacitors. He checked the resistors and tubes, replacing where needed. An audio cable, new power cord and safety fuse were installed. This radio performs exceptionally well, and the "tuning eye" tube is bright and active. Gary completely stripped and refinished the radio, and I feel it's some of his finest work! The radio has a perfect "piano" finish. The original knobs, speaker, and chassis are with the radio, and we installed the correct reproduction Zenith "swirl" grille cloth. I can't overstate how perfect this Walton is in every way! 24"H x 17"W x 12-1/2"D.
