General Electric L-513 (1940)
(wood tube table radio)

General Electric L-513 (1940)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

In 1876, Thomas Edison opened a new laboratory, creating his most famous invention, the incandescent light bulb. Little did he know that with a merger with twelve companies, General Electric was formed in 1892 and still exists today. The L-513 is a five-tube, AM band only radio. By 1940 GE had designed and manufactured hundreds of radio models, and all of them of high quality. This radio was restored by a good friend, Dick Dielschnider. He replaced all of the capacitors. He checked the tubes and resistors, replacing where necessary. We added an audio cable. The set plays great with good tone and sensitivity, utilizing an internal loop antenna. The original speaker, knobs and back are with the set. The Ingraham badge is present on this cabinet, which was was professionally refinished and looks great! This is a very nice All-American Five radio, and is priced right! 10"W x 7"H x 6-1/2"D
