The iconic Belmont 519, nicknamed "The Rabbit" is a classic Art Deco design. The radio came in black, brown and here, the desirable ivory. This radio was also branded for Coronado, Airline and other companies. The 519 is a five-tube, AM only, AC/DC radio. Blake replaced all of the capacitors with new equivalents. The tubes and resistors were checked and replaced where necessary. A new power cord and audio cable were installed. The radio plays perfectly utilizing an internal "loop" antenna. The ivory Bakelite cabinet is in "like new" condition with no cracks, chips or scratches. The original back, grille cloth, dial scale, knobs, call letters and Belmont badge are all with the radio. This gorgeous "Rabbit" is hard to find in this condition and will be a great addition to any collection! 10"W x 6-1/2"H x 5"D. |
