THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

A merger in 1912 created the Stewart-Warner Speedometer Company, located in Chicago. They produced their first radio in 1925, and in a very short time were producing 1,000 radios a day. They stopped radio production in 1954. The R-180-A is a five-tube, two-band (AM,police) radio and is a cube design, a very popular design in 1938. The capacitors were are replaced with modern equivalents. The resister and tubes were checked and replaced where necessary. A new power cord, antenna lead and safety fuse were installed. An input and switch were added to utilize an external device. The finish is original with the original knobs, speaker, back and grille cloth. The "Craft Built" and "Stewart-Warner" badges are present. This unique radio is gorgeous and reasonably priced for your collection. 13-1/2"W x 9"H x 8"D.
