Freed-Eisemann 351 "Mayflower" (1935)
(wood tube table radio)

Freed-Eisemann 351 "Mayflower" (1935)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

Here is a quite rare, small, two-toned smooth lined wood cabinet is in excellent condition and the two original knobs, grill cloth, "Mayflower" tag and matching dials (beautifully backlit with green pilots). Not sure what the translucent material is for them, but have a "mother of pearl" or pearlescent look. Five-tuber that has been electronically restored and plays well with a length of factory antenna wire (included), picking up all my local stations and more. The cloth wire and Bakelite plug are replacements (not the old line resistance, so very safe to operate). I'm claiming this to be a Freed-Eisemann or Freed as there is little/nothing to be found for true identity. Restored using schematic for Freed Radio & Television, model #351 as it matched tube lineup and, etc. The partnerships/mergers were frequent and many at the time. Freed-Eisemann Radio Corp. -- trade names Freed, Freed-Eisemann,the Freed, Freed Television and Radio Co., N.Y.; successor of Freed-Eisemann. Rather small at 10-1/2"W x 7-1/2"H x 6"D.
