Emerson Wondergram Record Player (50s)
(plastic phonograph)

Emerson Wondergram Record Player (50s)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

Emerson Wondergram portable battery turntable. Produced from 1960 to 1965 by "Baird," England and sold in USA under Emerson name brand. Allows you to listen to records at speeds of 33 and 45 rpm. Highly collectible mid-century pocket phonograph. This unit is in good used condition (see all photos). Beautiful 1950s EMERSON " Wondergram record player." Advertised the world's smallest record player at only 8 inches long and made of what seems to be brass and Bakelite. This record player is in very nice condition, with no cracks, chips, or breaks, but does have a couple of tarnishes (two on arm and other on inner top of battery cover). This set plays 33 and 45 rpm records. I have put battteries in and both 33s and 45s play well, tho it sometimes is just a bit slow. The needle seems to be fine. All in all a great looking and playing unique mechanism. It still retains its bright and shiny factory self. The Bakelite bottom has three "kickstand" legs that also fold under for storage or flat use. Don't let this little Emerson record player slip by. They seriously don't come up for sale often.
