RCA 6-RF-9 "Livingston" (1954)
(wood tube table radio w/FM)

RCA 6-RF-9 "Livingston" (1954)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

Here is another Mid-Century gem from a small collection I just recently acquired. This RCA AM-FM table radio has a beautiful mahogany cabinet with a classic 1950s brass bezel around the dial for "Bullseye" with "Wings" appearance. The transparent dial ring is edge-lighted by two dial lamps on the left and right, for a striking appearance under low lighting conditions (see pic #2). All original including finish, knobs, grille cloth, back, and factory decals/stickers. The nine-tube chassis is unrestored, but plays loud and clear on both bands. A well-designed radio with a nine-tube chassis, this set has outstanding FM sensitivity, and sounds great due to its 8-inch speaker, tone control, and 6V6 output stage, with enough audio power to produce good bass without distortion. The original phono input on the back with its own input setting on the bandswitch provides a very convenient connection for an iPod, CD player, or phonograph. 17"W x 11"H x 9"D; 18 lbs.
