Carleton 84C (1933)
(wood tube cathedral radio)

Carleton 84C (1933)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

Excellent little cathedral from a somewhat obscure company. I can find very little info on Carlton radios other than was manufactured by The U.S. Radio & T.V. Co of Marion, IN. This is a very cool old radio that very much resembles some of the early AK models. It is all original finish, knobs, dial, escutcheon, speaker, etc... The grille cloth is a replacement era correct and looks stunning. The dial light tracks the station as selected. Love that! There is some slight finish loss in a few spots on the arch top/sides only, but it is too good to refinish and could easily be touched up. Looks great as is. The ornate columns on near perfect front is sweet and no finish loss at all. Very clean chassis as you can see. It is unrestored by me, but plays very well with great volume across the dial picking up all my locals and beyond. 17"H x 15"W x 8"D.
