Zenith 8-H-034 (1946)
(wood tube table radio w/FM)

Zenith 8-H-034 (1946)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

Here is a Mid Century radio of historic value as well as a very nice looking & playing collectible. This is first Zenith table top radio to include the FM band (actually, it includes AM plus two FM bands: the current FM, and pre-War FM). For additional info please Google it. Very few radios like this were ever made, since the transitional period was brief and FM broadcasting had not yet caught on with the public. The half moon black dial is quite an eye catcher. It is illuminated by two top mounted dial lamps for easy dim or dark room tuning. Original dial, knobs, speaker, factory back, factory labels, grille cloth, etc. Its simplistic design, yet attractive curves, showcase the transition between the Art Deco era to Mid Century Modern. The chassis has been completely serviced recently so that this eight-tube set now picks up local stations across the AM/FM band loud and clear. Another great radio from my personal, smoke-free collection. About 14-5/8"W x 9"H x 8-1/4"D.
