Garod 6AU1 "Commander" (1945)
(Catalin tube table radio)

Garod 6AU1 "Commander" (1945)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

Beautiful, artsy, sleek, all original, streamlined Garod Catalin 6AU1 with butterscotch case and Red knobs, grille, and handle. Radio designed by John Sideli. Has the full Garod decal on the lower front. No cracks, chips or hairlines, stresses, repairs nor major scratches; near perfect and I would rate a 9.5 on 10 scale. Sorry for the glare/reflections... not flaws. The only "flaw" would be on the bottom (see pics), looks like a #2 light scratch; maybe a "makers mark?" Could be easily removed, but not by me. The dial is also excellent with working pilot light. Has original grille cloth, knobs, back, grille, etc. in excellent condition. Radio plays well, picking up many stations across the dial clearly, tho unrestored by me. I never play my Catalins anyway & really don't recommend it. Six tubes. Has original factory back. This radio was manufactured in 1945 in Brooklyn, New York. 11"W x 6-1/2"H x 6"D.
