Crosley 1014 "Centurian" (1935)
(wood tube tombstone radio w/SW)

Crosley 1014 "Centurian" (1935)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

Here is a recent estate find that I reluctantly am making available. Simply beautiful & near perfect. This has to be the largest or one of the largest Crosley tombstones ever made. It is a high tube count, ten-tube, shouldered tombstone which I believe to be all original including nearly flawless finish, knobs, grille cloth, dial, 8-inch speaker, etc. Also the chassis is super clean. The front burl panels on either side of that big lighted dial really make it pop. I cannot find out much info on it & the model appears to have never been offered here on the Attic. The tube count alone makes this set quite special. I'm not sure if/when it was electronically restored, but it plays very strong on BC + picked up couple of stations on SW with short wire antenna. Tone control also is a working plus. If this is going to be a daily player, I would recommend verifying any cap, tube needs, etc.; otherwise it is a great addition to any collection. Notice the beautiful lit dial showing Crosley + VOA Antenna + two worlds logo. RMA tag intact + tag of dealer in Georgetown, KY. Long since gone. 19-7/8"H x 16-1/4"W x 11-1/2"D.
