THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

Like the chrome grilles & bezels? Here is a difficult one to find one in near perfect condition. Grigsby-Grunow was a popular manufacturer in late 20's producing automobile accessories & radio equipment & produced the famous & high performing Majestic radios. They quickly became one of the most popularly produced at the time. Majestic radios were very successful in spite of the depression in 1929. By 1931, Mr. Grunow started General Household Utilities Co. and produced radios under the Grunow name. This is a beautiful example of the model 550 & is a five-tube, AM only radio. The chassis was completely rebuilt using modern capacitors. All of the resistors and tubes were checked and replaced where needed. The old line resistor cord was replace with a newer cloth cord to keep it authentic looking. Original grille cloth, knobs, speaker, chrome, etc. Very clean chassis with factory tag intact. Both dials are lighted. The chrome is in perfect condition, and the radio performs very well across the dial with short antenna attached & included. Difficult to find in this or any condition. Ready for play and display. 12"W x 8"H x 5-1/2"D.
