Zenith 6D-311 (1939)
(Bakelite tube table radio)

Zenith 6D-311 (1939)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

Zenith created a very stylish "masterpiece in Bakelite" with this radio. It features a right front half round dial, left horizontal wrap-around louvers & waterfall opposite end, brass escutcheon & "Z" knob as well as factory original back. I tried to capture the heavy mottling through out the Bakelite. Notice the curved gold dial virtually matches the curved cabinet side, big dial pointer, clear dial lens to better see that beautiful lighted dial at night. Very shiny & reflective. It really has "pizzaz." Also nice clean, rust free chassis. An absolutely amazing Zenith with such Art Deco design. I have had more than one of these over the years & have seen many others, but this one is simply the nicest looking original one I have ever had. The electronics have been completely restored and it plays very nicely on the AM broadcast band, picking up all my local stations & beyond with just the short antenna wire. Nice selectivity & sensitivity! The radio is virtually flawless & excellent example of this iconic model. Another great radio from my personal, smoke-free collection. 10-1/2"W x 6-1/2"H x 6"D.
