Emerson CS-320 (1939)
(wood tube table radio)

Emerson CS-320 (1939)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

I hate to start the description of this very rare and otherwise very nice little Emerson CS-320 with so much bad news. It was born a very cool and unique radio, with a tube lineup I have never seen before. Unfortunately, it has had a very hard life. First, it looks like someone set it up somewhere and threw rocks at it. The front has quite a few dents and dings, all too deep to sand out. Two or three strange puncture marks right by the logo. One repair to the speaker grille and a new dial glass. A dark patch in the veneer band on the left corner. It is missing the odd brass colored Mae West buttons on the two lower front corners. I did my best to fill in two of the inlay stripes where the inlay was missing. All that said, it has a very nice 6-inch speaker and the sound is quite good. My usual top quality chassis restoration produced a very good player on broadcast and one short wave band. Requires an external antenna. This is a very rare radio, and with all the above, presents pretty well at first glance. Can you see the pretty girl behind the pimples?? I hope so. I couldn't throw it away. 13-1/2"W x 9"H x 7-1/2"D.
