Emerson 578A "Eames" (1946)
(wood tube table radio)

Emerson 578A "Eames" (1946)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

Except for its replacement cord, this is an all-original radio designed by Ray and Charles Eames in 1946. It is in near mint condition. Its chassis was fully restored by the previous owner and it plays great across the dial. The original speaker is in good condition. Its cabinet is made of molded birch plywood with ash veneer and retains its original finish. The original Plaskon dial face has no cracks, and the dial lights up nicely. The original Plaskon "Ferris wheel" knobs are in great shape too. It retains its original back cover imprinted with its "578A" model number. Another great radio from my personal, smoke-free collection. About 9"W x 6-1/2"H x 5-1/2"D.
