Emerson 588A "Eames" (1948)
(wood tube table radio)

Emerson 588A "Eames" (1948)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

The Emerson 588A is one of just two radios designed by Charles and Ray Eames for the Emerson Radio and Phonograph Company (see my other Attic listings for the Model 578A, the smaller of the two). This all-original radio's walnut veneer cabinet is made of bent plywood, the classic hallmark of Charles and Ray Eames. Its Bakelite Ferris wheel knobs, Plaskon dial face, backlit dial, and back panel are all original and in mint condition. This five-tube superhet now picks up local stations across the AM band loud and clear. In near mint condition, it's ready to play and display! Another great radio from my personal, smoke-free collection. About 11"W x 6"H x 5"D.
