Addison A2 "Waterfall" (1940)
(Bakelite tube table radio)

Addison A2 "Waterfall" (1940)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

Here is an incredibly marbleized Addison A2 Radio in Navy Blue Bakelite with Ivory Plaskon trim made 1940 by Addison Industries Limited in Canada. This particular set is a stunning radio in excellent original condition with no cracks, chips, tube burns or repairs on the cabinet. This stylized Art Deco radio features the famous "waterfall" speaker grille trim and surround "bumpers" with speed-lines that really make for a streamlined radio design. The creamy white Plaskon trim is complete and factory original to the radio and has no chips, burns or repairs. The dial and dial glass are perfect as is the original matching marbleized Navy knobs. The electronics have been totally restored with capacitors and weak tubes replaced, and is picking up all my local stations across the dial. It has a new, removable custom back panel to help keep the chassis free of dust (originals came with none). Bottom case has manufacturer's and Brantford, Ontario Canada-local service labels. The unique styling, bold use of color, and intense marbleizing would make this radio a truly beautiful and striking addition to any collection. About 10-1/4"W x 6-1/4"H x 5-3/4"D.
