General Electric G-61 (1938)
(wood tube table radio w/SW)

General Electric G-61 (1938)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

Art Deco styled cabinet featuring bullet shaped knobs and push-button off/on/presets. Ultra cool three-stage slide rule dial with separate tone/band pointers. Radio has been serviced with new filter and paper capacitors, strong set of tested tubes, new line cord. Cabinet was refinished with proper toners; however there is an area on the top and side that was toned a bit darker to blend in glue stains from the previous owner's attempt to re-glue the veneer. It displays well despite the flaws. Radio has new reproduction grille cloth. The only issue is this once three-band set is now AM broadcast only. The short wave and police bands were disabled due to a destroyed band switch selector mechanism that was beyond repair. But it plays strong across the AM band and looks amazing in a darkened room! 21-1/2"W x 11"H x x 10"D.
