Farnsworth AT-22 (1939)
(wood tube table radio w/SW)

Farnsworth AT-22 (1939)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

Farnsworth Radios were named after early TV pioneer Philo Farnsworth. In 1927, Farnsworth was the first inventor to transmit a television image comprised of 60 horizontal lines. He also developed the dissector tube, the basis of all future electronic televisions. This example is a six-tube strong player across the dial. It features AM & Shortwave with a built in loop antenna for AM, and a long wire tucked behind the loop that can be used for shortwave. Chassis has been re-capped, resistors checked and replaced as needed, good tubes installed, new line cord, controls cleaned and lubricated for smooth operation. It features four push-buttons on top that can be pre-set to your favorite AM stations. Cabinet was completely refinished with proper spray toners. New Grille cloth and dial cover. An uncommon model from an off-brand company. 14"W x 8"H x 8-1/2"D.
