Halson 630 "Duo Wave" (1934)
(wood tube tombstone radio w/SW)

Halson 630 "Duo Wave" (1934)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

First time this model has been offered on Radio Attic! This six-tube Art Deco tombstone is a bit of a mystery as the cabinet is definitely a model 630 deluxe, but the chassis uses the schematic and tube line up from a model 610 with two tubes swapped in location! One thing is for certain, it's definitely a rare model. It features AM and shortwave, receiving all the local stations using its long-wire antenna. The chassis has been painted and detailed, and serviced with all new capacitors. The resistors checked and replaced as needed, good tested tubes installed, and the controls cleaned and lubricated for smooth operation. The cabinet was completely refinished with proper spray toners to best show off the beautiful grain patterns of the various types of wood. It was finished off with new whiskey rayon grille cloth and uses the original wood knobs with a woodgrain inlay that came with the set. An uncommon model from an off-brand company. 15-1/2"H x 11-1/2"W x 9"D.
