Silvertone 1908 (1935)
(wood tube tombstone radio w/SW)

Silvertone 1908 (1935)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

For those who seek original finish sets, here is an 88-year-old time capsule for you. This six-tube, three-band Superheterodyne features an all-original cabinet that is in amazing condition for its age with a few minor chips here and there as to be expected after so many decades. The grille cloth is all original and has never been removed, as is the cloth line cord and wood knobs. Even the chassis features all of its original labels fully intact. A true survivor featuring a beautiful multi-color airplane dial only used on 1935-36 models! The chassis has been gone through with all new wax and filter capacitors, and all out of tolerance resistors replaced. Comes with a strong tested set of tubes. Requires its wire antenna to be connected to an external source for more distant reception. Because of an unusual inductively coupled volume control, my standard add-on 3.5mm cord could not be installed on this unit. 18"H x 12-1/2"W x 9"D.
