THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

This five-tube Philco is somewhat scarce. This is only the second example ever to appear on Radio Attic. It comes from the first year Philco used the new miniature Loctal tubes. Meaning, they could make much smaller radios without sacrificing performance. The chassis on this one has been totally recapped, weak tubes replaced, new line-cord and controls cleaned and lubricated for smooth operation. The cabinet was totally refinished using multi color toners and topped off with a spray of clear enamel for sheen and durability. Original pointed knobs, new grille cloth. It is a strong player too, receiving all of my local stations easily with its powerful built-in loop antenna. Because of the extremely cramped chassis, my usual 3.5mm cord was not installed on this set. 12-1/4"W x 7-1/4"H x 6-1/2"D.
