Silvertone 4662 (1937)
(wood tube table radio)

Silvertone 4662 (1937)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

Sears Roebuck offered some of their finest Silvertone radios in 1937, both in quality and design. This six-tube set is one of them with the famous Silvertone big, bold gold dial that really pops in a dark room with its nice and bright glowing magic eye tube. It receives all the local AM stations and shortwave with a long wire antenna. Plays strong and clear across the dial. All electrolytic and paper caps have been replaced, out of tolerance resistor replaced, tubes tested strong, controls were cleaned and lubricated. New line cord. Chassis is very clean with none of the usual corrosion. The cabinet was refinished using various toners and looks very nice. Plus the original cardboard back is still present and in decent condition, a real rarity. The original Tenite dial bezel, and knobs are also in very nice condition (usually these bezels are badly warped and/or cracked from age) 16-1/2"W x 9-3/4"H x 8"D.
