General Electric G-61 (1938)
(wood tube table radio w/SW)

General Electric G-61 (1938)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

Those who collect original finish, wood cabinet radios take note. You don't often find 86-year-old "console-in-a-table-model-cabinet" sets with near perfect original finish like this. Even the grille cloth is like new original. Inside cabinet label is still sharp and clear, as are the ink stamps and label on the back of the chassis. Art Deco styled cabinet featuring bullet shaped knobs and push-button off/on/presets. Ultra cool three-stage slide rule dial with separate tone/band pointers. The six-tube AM/Shortwave/Police band chassis has been serviced with new filter and paper capacitors, strong set of tested tubes, new line cord. It plays loud and strong across the dial with a long wire attached. Was able to receive on SW & Police bands too. And the dial looks amazing in a darkened room! Due to the volume / tone control circuitry, my usual 3.5mm aux cord could not be installed on this set. 21-1/2"W x 11"H x 10"D.
