Emerson 8CW-334-2 (1941)
(Plaskon tube table radio)

Emerson 8CW-334-2 (1941)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

This pre-war five-tube set is among the first Emersons produced with this popular cabinet that stayed in its model lineup until the late 40's. Most were molded in dark marble swirl; the Plaskon version is scarcer, as is this model number which appears to be the first offered on Radio Attic. It has been gone through with all new filter and paper capacitors, strong tested set of tubes, controls cleaned and lubricated. It plays loud and clear across the AM band with its built-in loop antenna, easily receiving all of my local stations, or use the 3.5mm aux cord to play your own content. The compact sized cabinet is solid Plaskon material, still in nice shape with one repaired crack running from front to back on the bottom that doesn't detract from the overall display appeal. It has a spring-loaded retractable carrying handle on top. A new back cover completes the restoration. 11-1/4"W x 7-1/2"H x 6"D.
